Manatee Endodontics
Patient Review
I recently had a root canal done by Dr. Dejongh. Dr. Dejongh and his staff were professional and proficient, and although I experienced some pain, I was reassured that the root canal was completed properly. During the procedure, Dr. Dejongh mentioned that I had a ‘hot tooth’ which basically means much harder to desensitize from the pain and an extremely inflamed nerve. He reassured me that I would no longer feel pain cold. That Cold pain sensation has never gone away! I had a Crown placed on the same tooth two weeks later. It’s now been almost a month and I still have pain in the gums & cold sensation between the tooth that was crowned and the one in front. I went back to Manatee Endodontics and unfortunately had to see Dr. Strimer instead, as Dr. Dejongh was on vacation. After they took x-rays, I was told that the root canal was complete and that there was absolutely no reason I should still have pain. But I still have the same pain I had when I initially went to Dr. Dejongh for the root canal. DR Strimer told me there was no reason I should have pain and that I should See a medical doctor because it must be neurological. How could pain in my gums between my teeth have anything to do with a medical doctor? I found Dr. Strimer to be unprofessional and very condescending. Basically saying it is my imagination. Very unempathetic. Why would anyone want to continually go back to a dental office if they didn’t have to? We all know dental procedures can be torture. I will now have to go to another endodontist office that has more advanced technology in order to obtain a scan that will reveal that there are missed canals. Costing me another $2k out of pocket (at least). What I have learned is that Manatee Endodontics Is more of an ‘old school’ dental office. If you want up-to-date advanced care, it’s best to go to an endodontic office that has updated technology. A simple x-ray will not reveal a missed canal or problems with tissues. It requires a 3D dental scan, a much more advanced technology providing accurate diagnosis.

The receptionist/insurance person was very patience and helpful. Sorry to say I forgot her name. She spent a good amount of time on the phone dealing with an insurance issue I had. Very nice Thank you! Saw the doctor, listened to what I had to say and came up with a plan. Overall a good experience despite the situation, can’t wait until the Root Canal.

No one likes a root canal however, this was the most relaxing experience I’ve ever encountered during a root canal. Dr. Adam Strimer and staff were amazing. I actually kept dozing off.

My boyfriend had appointment on Friday 2/27 11 am . We had a very bad experience. We could not found the place and called to ask help, but they cannot give a right direction. Person who at a front desk was unwelcome when we arrived before appointment started. Her attitude was very rude and we left office bc we not feel comfortable to stay there.
