Non-surgical endodontic treatment includes removal of the infected pulp (nerve) followed by cleaning, sterilizing, filling, and sealing the root canal system.

Endodontic Surgery

Endodontic surgery, or apicoectomy, is the removal of the end of the tooths' root along with  inflamed tissue.  This is done when there is persistant inflammation, infection, or if the root canal is blocked due to previous treatment.
